With Mutual Rytm continuing to evolve, we’re excited to introduce Versus — a new sub-label built around collaboration, dialogue, and creative exchange.
The concept behind Versus is simple yet intentional: each release brings together two artists on one shared record, creating space for both individual expression and a unified musical vision. Rather than focusing on contrast alone, the idea is rooted in synergy — highlighting how different artistic identities can complement, influence, and strengthen one another within a collective body of work.
For the debut release, Versus welcomes Regent and Chontane — two longtime friends, native Berliners, and artists who have each been deeply involved in shaping contemporary techno for well over a decade. As longstanding members of the Mutual Rytm family with multiple releases on the label, their inclusion feels like a natural and meaningful starting point for this new series.
With Versus, the vision is to create an ongoing platform dedicated to these creative intersections — celebrating collaboration as a driving force for progression, experimentation, and timeless club music.
